Wake up to the sound of waves, each wave brings you closer to your inner serenity, and with each moment you spend listening to the breaking waves on the infinite sands, your mind drifts into a place of freedom and peace in our Shangri-La (free standing cottage). Walk along the beach and Less than a block away you ll find Redondo Riviera Village with over 40 restaurants, cafés, bars, shops, salons and more. Please read carefully following house rules before booking our cottage: We do not offer parking inside the property, upload and unload upon arrival and at the departure time is ok , Street parkings are free. We are welcoming you into our Shangri-La (cottage B ) and the use of the patio in front of the cottage which stands in your right hand side when you enter property through the white wrough iron gate. Any other area or units in the property is strictly off limit for all guests , any trespassing beyond that will cause immediate termination of your stay.** ***We regret to say that our cottage is not set up for people with mobility issues, due to narrow (28”)restroom door and shower door, restroom and bedroom are not at the same level.(please refer to listing pictures)
*** Our cottage is NOT suitable for infants and children under 18 y.o or any individual who is a minor, who is below legal age or the age of majority.
Property is protected 24/7 by exterior security cameras. Cameras monitoring properties’ main exterior entrance(6’ high gate), main entrance, exterior doors and backyard(exterior)

• Quite hours 10 pm-7 am

• Report any damage immediately.
• All cooking oil discard into trash.
• please don't eat or drink in bedroom
• please take extra care of your key. Lost keys incure a replacement fee.

• no dishwasher in the unit. Please do your dishes.
• no illegal substances allowed on the premises.
• Absolutely no drugs of any kind. Alcohol is ok.
• Use of washer and dryer is not permitted for a stay of less than 1week.

• If anything breaks, spills, stains, etc please let us know ASAP.
• Please use cutting board while cooking.

• Sensitive pipes, please all flushable feminine hygiene products and wipes into the bin, (or the serivice of a plumber will be required.

Summary: The cottage was very nice. It was located in a perfect spot for morning beach walks and beautiful sunsets. We were welcomed and treated very kindly. I am thankful we chose Shangri-La!

Summary: This was perfect, 3 minute walk to the beach. 12 minute walk to Trader Joe's. The breeze of the ocean was perfect. Mia was awesome and we will stay there every time we come to the LA area!

Summary: We have booked VRBO rentals in the US, Europe and Central America for 23 years. With one or two exceptions, we have had great experiences. This is one of the best. We have rented in this area multiple times to serve as a base for visiting our daughter and her family. Shangri-La at the Beach is our favorite. The ocean view from the dining table or from the patio chairs is first rate. The windows in the cottage itself open to the ocean breeze. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. The bedroom is down a few steps but at 72 and 74 we didn’t find those a challenge for the midnight bathroom trip. And Mia is a treasure: friendly and totally respectful of privacy. We thought parking might be a problem, but every night we found a free spot on the street with no more than two passes.

Summary: This is a unique standalone unit right across the street from Torrance Beach. The location is fabulous for beach access. I stayed here for a work conference that took place at Terranea Resort since I was unable to get a room there. The drive to and from the resort was quick at 15-min and with gorgeous views of the coastline. The unit is on the small side, but the space is utilized well. Nice kitchen, I cooked most meals here. I was very comfortable. The owners live in another unit on the same property. After check-in (Mia preferred to meet with me in person) they kept to themselves and I felt like I had privacy in the unit I stayed in. They do prefer guests to park on the street, which is free. I had some difficulty finding a spot during the late afternoons and evenings as the beach is a popular spot. However, as the evening progresses and beach goers leave, many street spots open around 8pm and after. I would stay here again for work or pleasure. Reasonable price for the location. Large selection of restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

Summary: This place is a hidden gem! Great location to several beaches, piers and shops. The cottage is very clean and inviting. Mia and Michael were great hosts, very friendly and accommodating!
